Nice shots, #1 for me. Something about the scale in #2 seems odd (if this is a composite photo)

Thanks Mate. Not composites. Both are single shots.

Thats amazing tht you got that much detail in the moon and still have the jet sharp. I figured the jet would have been completely out of focus with that much moon detail.

I was kinda pleased with the result. The plane was flying over at 37,000 feet. When I saw the plane heading for the moon I madly ran inside to grab the camera and changed to long zoom lens. I just got back in time for the first shot, but hadn't zoomed in. By the time I had zoomed in and focused the plane was past, thus the 2nd shot.

Very nice. Love to see something different like this. Very cool captures, both.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

AT - depending on the lens, once you pass say 50 feet or so, everything else is infinity to your camera.

    RM - fab comps.

Great juxtaposition. What focal length are you at here ?

Both were shot with a 100-400 zoom. The first was at approx 105mm and had a reasonably severe crop. The second was at approx 300mm with a minor crop.
