Thanks Randitola. Yes sometimes it just works out. On this occasion I thought was tracking him fairly well when he unexpectedly turned sharply toward me and I didn't have time to zoom out.Originally Posted by Randitola

Well that definitely works well in this shot. Shows up more cockpit detail, and yet is still nicely composed in the shot as a whole.

The happy accident is my favorite as well. Everyone has shots of a fighter jet flying over, not may have a nicely detail image of the cockpit as it flys over.

Cool shot. Brings to mind what it would be like to ride in one, we're so close to the pilots. I also like the kangaroo in the RAF symbol. Nifty.

Thanks MB. I could say I was trying to get close for the "eyes" assignment this month, but I don't think anyone will believe me.
Yes that is the logo/symbol of the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force). It is a subtle variation from the British RAF as you rightly observe.
