I am so jealous, Sable Island is on my bucket list! what on earth were you doing on Sable Island?

I used to do weather there. Fly in fly out. It was AMAZING. An experience I will never forget. Just regret I wasn't camera happy then. Maybe some day I can get back there..

"Hello Nova Scotia ... I'm Katrina and what a lovely day we had in the east today! -47C with a windchill of -9million but who's complaining when the snow drifts are only 2/3rds of a mile deep huh? Tomorrow, it's get out those bathing suits because we don't expect the temps to drop much below -30C!!! Oooooh I can feel the suntan lotion on my skin now. Anyone want to come and help me rub it in?? ... Cya tomorrow Nova Scotia "

Ha ha..not on Sable Island. I recorded the weather and we did studies on the air and water. I also, when not doing the weather had to help with projects to preserve the Island. It was amazing. Horses roaming free..seals on each side, birds..bees that flew on leaves..and sand. OMG..I'd come home and it would take weeks to get the sand out of my hair. At the most we'd have 4 people working there at one time. Sometimes less.

Wow - very cool pictures. Every one has some special point. In the first the ship itself, in the second the great colours and in the third I love the stars - all three are really wonderful.
