The Liberator was the B-24. It was a larger plane of a very similar plan form, however, it had 4 engines rather than 2. It was a long range bomber, rather than a tactical bomber (the B-25's specialty). I think I have some pictures of a B-24 somewhere. They might be prints, so I'd have to scan them.
