    Default 'Til Death

Ok, so this isn't quite black and white, but it's close. I ran the saturation slider to the left and quite like this interpretation.

Was out in the woods again today and although I'm starting to crave color again, I'm trying to get the best out of the desaturated world. In just a few weeks (probably) it will be gone.

Trees seem so patient this time of year. I love how they just look stoic all snowed in. Then I found this wood duck house in the undergrowth and it just looked so sad.

The first and last were shot with the legacy OM 35mm f2 and the middle with the ZD 12-60mm.

The leaves totally work, both color and focus. For humor, for some reason the fallen wood duck house makes me smile.

thanks Q, the birdhouse is right by the lake, but I couldn't see where it was originally attached. the ducks have probably given up by now.

Nice set WD - I really like the light and colour of the leaf in shot 1.

thanks. Of the few shots I took of beech leaves yesterday, that one is the best. it's like trying on clothes, you have to do a lot of it before you get something that works.
