Sometimes b&w just seems to fit a subject even when its brilliantly colored. This is one. You guys have seen evidence of my penchant for ferns, but I don't think I've done a monochrome version. While on my buggy escapade the other day, I fired off this one just before the bombarding flies drove me off. Done with the OM 90mm legacy lens on my travel tripod, it's growing on me. Conversion done in Lightroom 3 beta 2. It has a noir aspect that makes me think of Chandler and Macdonald. But that could be just me.

I like this one, but I'd be really curious to also see the colour version if you feel like showing it...but if you've 'settled' on the BW - it looks good.

yeah, I have a color one, but I haven't put it anywhere I can get to it just now. am going to get on the bike and fly in a bit, but maybe when I get back.
