I know this reply may be late, but I just found this forum.
I use the BlackRapid strap quite a bit. Mostly when I shoot weddings. I usually have my Nikon D300 w/o grip attached to the 70-200mm AF-S 2.8 lens and this is attached to the BR strap. My other D300 is around my neck with whatever lens I have for the moment. The great thing about the BR is that it hangs the camera out of the way, but can instantly be brought up to shooting position with little effort. It's very fast to use and it's actually fun to use too. I use it anywhere I'm going to be hand-holding. It also great for just walking around. It slings across the body rather than just over the shoulder so very secure. And then so easy to position for shooting.
I would have to say that this is my favourite camera (or lens) strap. The only thing, is that if you have it attached to a long lens, like the 70-200 and want to change lenses on that camera, you'll have to disconnect the strap (unscrew it) and then re-screw it to the new lens or to the camera itself. That's why I tend to put it on the 70-200 and just leave it there during a wedding. I really should get another for the other camera, but I tend to use it on a tripod a lot so haven't bothered.
Anyway... I would highly recommend it for anyone shooting hand-held, especially if using more than one camera/lens combination.
