Default Need help .. which nifty fifty?

I am looking for a nifty fifty and have narrowed down the search to the Nikon AF 50 1.4 D or the Sigma 50mm 1.4. The Sigma is ore money, but has 77mm filter thread and 9 blades compared to the standard 7, which does give better bokeh. Any suggestions / experience comments on either lens? Or suggestion for something different? Would surely be appreciated.

I don't have any experience with either, but when I was looking last year I did quite a lot of research and the Sigma was very highly regarded. I was tossing up between it and the Canon 50mm 1.4. After much continual changing of my mind, in the end I went for the canon as the smaller size was the tipping point.

Well I gone and done it .. eBay was good to me .. got a 50 1.4 AF in really decent shape for 232.00. Opted out of the sigma, since i am having problems with my 17-70 right now, and I am starting to lose faith in them ...
