Wow! A number of great shots! I did not realize that Iceland was so picturesque.

Some excellent shots there Ram! Very delicate renditions of soft tones in many shots - Nice.

Although I haven't been to Iceland I know a few people who have and it is indeed gorgeous. If I remember correctly (and please correct me if I'm wrong Ram), The name "Iceland" was deliberately chosen to fool people and keep them away. To this day many people mistakenly think Iceland is a desolate wasteland. This is in total contrast to Greenland which from what I've heard, IS a wasteland.

i have also heard this story... that they switched the naming of 'ice' & 'green' to throw off like, viking warriors or something. a very ingenious way of protecting their homeland!

Look at these. Very nice indeed. I got a strange impression after a few shot. Am i wrong or does most of the landscape pics are not to the ratio of 2:3 (or 24x36). If I am right, this would means that either you have a rather exotic body or you intentionnally crop to specific ratio?

This is just out of curiosity...

    Thanks for sharing

On Icelad there aren't many trees because is a volcanic island, very difficult for plants, there are many desert-like regions !
