    Default Prickly

    I'm trying to decide if I like this picture. It is not as sharp as I would like, however since I don't have a macro lens it is hard for me to get good sharp closeups. What do you think??

    Looks sharp enough on my monitor. I'd maybe reduce some of the colour from it to enhance the 'death' of these.

    I like it! .. Looks sharp to me , but then I'm in the same boat . I also , don't have a macro lens . Take all my closeps with a zoom .

    I like the DOF here and the sharpness looks fine on my monitor too

    I'd say you captured them nice and sharp. If you are noticing any softness I suspect it's likely to the short DOF throwing a bit of the image out of focus. Maybe a higher f-stop would make a difference. Honestly, though, they're fine just the way they are. Nice work!
