    Thanks for the comments pips.

    The "Secrets" to this shot are:

    Setup:

    A pint glass upside down in a saucepan, with marbles balanced on top.
    Black Card behind.
    40w Fluorescent desk lamp to the right and slightly behind.
    Water being poured over from a jug above.

    Slow shutter speed to get a bit of a flow of water 1/4 Sec

    Timing and the ability to pour with one hand whilst operate the shutter via remote with the other, and the ability to curse out loud the first 30 times cause you can't co-ordinate yourself heh.

    Photoshop to adjust curves and levels a bit.
