    Default The Streets of Dublin....

I went into the city yesterday with the specific intention of doing something new. I wanted to try some candid street photography. I have moved way out of my comfort zone to take these and I would appreciate some/any feed back.

    Thanks for looking.

First of all, congratulations for moving out of your comfort zone. It can be hard, but I think it's worth it. These are all good photos. I'm not one on technical critique, but there's others on the site who do a great job! I like #3. Personally, I would brighten it just a bit.

I'm a fan of the first two. I really like the first one as it makes you wonder about what her subject is for her photograph. The second one, for some reason, makes me think of the Japanese internment camps of the second world war. I'm not old enough to remember them from anything but the history books and movies but having the darkly covered fence held open as they walk through and the serious look on everyone's face just took my brain there.

I see that you've moved your camera up to your eye to frame the shot. Congrats for moving out of your comfort zone.

I also prefer the first one. I agree with Iggy that it makes you wonder what she is taking a picture of.

I think these are a very good start! I find candid street photography a bit nerve wracking but if you're anything like me the excitement of getting a memorable shot far outweighs that! These are all decent, the last one could do with brightening up as noted by mellowinman. My favourite is the 2nd one, I also immediately got a feeling that they were about to be put in a cage (having just arrived by taxi ) I like the glasses in the first one too.
