Hi there shimagery and welcome to the forum!

OK here is an honest critique. In general these shots are too small to evaluate properly. They should be a bit larger.

1 - The ladybug shot needs work. First off you should always ask yourself when using a technique if the technique adds to the shot. In this case the handpainting does not add to the shot. The shot of the ladybug is also too far away. You needed to get closer.

2 - The sky shot is sort of interesting. I can see an image embedded in the sky, but cannot read it because it is too small.

3 - The kid and the flowers. Here the handpainting does apply but the angle is 'off' in my opinion. I would have shot this more straight on to get the kid's face in the shot. I may hsve played with depth of field between the flowers and the child.

4 - The bridge. This shot has no oomph. Again I can see something another image in the water, but it is too small to read.

5 - The branches - This shot IS interesting. It could be made stronger by a more evident focal point though. Perhaps this could have been better achieved by a bit more cropping on the right side.

I hope that helped and I hope it wasn't too harsh. ALL photographers learn through experimentation and you are doing the right thing by trying different techniques.

Keep shooting and I hope you'll post again.
