A try on landscape

    I agree with the above - beautiful shot, but the clouds are overpowering the nicer elements - they are bright and large, and so the eye is drawn to those first.

    To me, I love the texture, detail and colours in the foreground, with the mountains in the background - the sky just distracts. Try some cropping to rebalance and see whether than improves the shot...

    Very nice though, indeed!

    Edit: In fact, I've just done a quick edit on it here (crop, bit of a dodge/burn), and it works *much* better for me....
    This has the benefit of putting the people in a nice framing position, letting the mountains and nature dwarf them, and giving three thirds in the image - foreground, mountains and sky.

    If you don't mind, here's a small version of my quick edit to illustrate:



    If I was doing this properly I'd probably spend a bit more time on the dodging/burning to bring out the foreground/mountain detail, and possibly the clouds too.
