    Default rose

I did some experimenting taking shots of a rose in different locations.
Comments on this one taken in a blue bowl with water in it will be appreciated.
I am relatively new to photography and still learning.

Normally the show forum is just for show...so I'm moving this (with a redirect) to the critique forum since you are asking for a critique.

This is quite an nice shot and my eye is led toward the flower's center.
Not sure if the noise in the blue water is due to resizing but there is considerable noise in the water.
(What was your ISO what was your shutter speed and was the camera on a tripod?)

The leafy stalk thing jutting from the flower at top right is a distraction and I'd likely clone it out if this were my shot.
I might also like to see the flower's center sharpened a bit more.
    Hope that helps

I didn't realize I posted it in the wrong place.
The "noise" is not noise. It is the texture of the bowl.ISO is 200 and the shutter speed was 1/90 and I used a tripod.
I will work on your suggestions.
    Thanks for the comments.
