    Default wreck beach, UBC (HDR)

Another attempt at HDR - same program. Photomatix. Combination of 4 exposures; 1 EV apart each. (f18, 20sec / f13, 20sec / f9, 20sec / f9, 40sec) ND110 filter was used to allow long exposure on each one.

I was able to make some lighting adjustments in the program to avoid the halo effect observed in my earlier photo. Some contrast enhance in the input images (to the program). I may need some further post processing. Any suggestions?

    Great scene indeed.

Needs the water horizon levelled up as it's leaning to the right.

And sharpening. I'd like to see all the foreground rocks with some more sharpness.

Nice composition here. Love the light rays. What M.A. said about the straightening and sharpening.... I think I see a couple of dust spots centre right. HDR has a tendency to make those pop up. Pretty minor criticisms, really.

So..... was this photo taken in your ummmm.... Birthday suit? (Just teasing- wreck beach is a well known nude beach.)

How the hell did I miss those two spots??!!!

And, if it's a nudist beach ... why the hell were you shooting out to sea??!!

It's a pleasant image with a nice dreamy feel to it. Almost a 'glamour glow' type effect similar to the Color FX plugin.

I'm normally a bit of a fan of intense blue skies, but in this case I would be tempted to slightly desaturate the blue sky in the top right. Or depending on how you feel about cloning possibly even clone some clouds into that spot to get rid of the blue entirely.

There were nude sunbathers there that day, but it wasn't much to see (if you were there, you'd see why I was aiming my camera at the sea

THanks for your comments - i am working on a revised version now... The 'glamour glow' effect is mostly due to the long exposure of water. There was a lot of light reflecting off the waves coming up against the rock. I'd like to try this shot again around sunset.

You missed fixing those two dust spots but I'm liking it much more now the horizon is level and the rocks are a tad sharper.
