hi,

i am attaching 2 sets of photos, original n PP work. #1 and #4 are after PP

Trying to get my hands dirty wit PP....
what would you have done differently in PP???
Is there a set of rules or guidelines that anyone follows during PP?
I would love to hear any thoughts on photos or its PP....
Plz feel free to edit them.....I would love to c a better job than mine

Hi Anuj,

Nice shots and I think you have made a good start to the processing.

I took your images and all I did with them was sharpen them and increase the contrast of the water. (I did it very quickly and wasnt very careful with the selections I am afraid). I then added a vignette. I cropped the boat photo, but not sure if it improves it.

I dont know if you like the results. I wont be offended if you dont.

I find that there are few digital images that dont need some sharpening in PP. I have only recently started increasing contrat in shots with water as I find it can give a bit more sparkle.

I am sure there are others here that can help you more with work flow than I can, but I hope these suggestions may help

Anuj, I like the composition of the original images, but they were "flat".

Runmonty has definitely made an improvement. Even as I was scrolling the page I could tell they were much sharper.

hey thank you runmonty for your efforts n suggestions.....yes the difference is very apparent...
i hv clicked dozens of such photos yet to b processed, i ll keep this in mind.
