Day and night photos - 2 concepts

The first place I saw this kind of thing done was here:

I mimicked some of these techniques in my second photo (the day and night photos side by side), but for the first photo, I thought i'd try something different...

I like the first one looks almost natural. The second one is cool, but the way it turns form the cloud to nothing and with water with the nice ripples to the flat water just looks a bit odd.

Really cool play... I kind of like the great divide of the second rather than the "trickery" of the first... I just gotta be me
