I like what is lit. I think there is to much dead space at the top and the loss of detail in the shadows does not help the photo. The photo is hard to see if you dont have a big screen so seeing it on a laptop you would have to scrol down to see it all. It almost looks like you cropet the right side of the photo interesting idea if you did.
Any way that's my view can't wate to see more of your work.

I really like the use of light, shemsuhor, the way it comes in on an angle is very interesting to me. The subject seems to be some part of a boat but I have no idea what it is so it's a bit confusing and there is very little detail in the rest of the image that tells me what it is so I'm a bit confused about the subject. I do like that you went with a black and white treatment here.

I really like the light, tones and the comp here. I agree that a crop off the top might improve the comp further though.

Way strong first post - looking forward to more. Welcome again!

Thank yo for the compliments and suggestions, Yes it is a small boat and with round fishnet pulling reel with a primitive light source.I am posting new version of the pic. below
To belliveau, Thank you. I tried to replace with smaller version but couldn't succeed, found out that ctrl-(-) works in my computer.

Now just wondered as a newbie.how often should I ask for a critic would be proper, I don't want to bore people at all, like once a week is ok in your personal view?

    Best wishes.

I would say, post as often as you need to. I don't think there are any rules in that regard. I find that people when they first join the forum often ask for a lot of critique and as they learn or gain confidence , they ask for critique only in certain areas and less frequently.

I do prefer the 2nd crop as it puts more focus on the subject. I like the tones an lighting.

shot 2 is stronger for me now based on the crop!

In terms of critiques, post as often as you like of course. You best critiques will come from posting just one or two shots per thread (like u did here). But post as many threads as you like.
