i would start by cropping the lefthand 1/3rd or 1/2 of the top photo off, for the same reason as kat, that the fuzzy foreground is too distracting. the rest of the photo is great - with good clarity & shadows. possibly a little contrast boost would improve it even more.
and again with the second shot - i would cut almost the entire bottom half off. its not doing anything for the photo - the green lights & red streaks are just great...
