I think this is the best effort yet. The crop is near perfect and I like the way the shadows fall on her breast and shoulders. A definite keeper!

I think I'd like to know your artistic intention with this series.
I'm getting a post sex, just about to light a smoke vibe from them. I like em.
If you weren't going for this vibe, then I'd -
1. Brush the hair
2. Open the face
3. Add a touch of fill light camera left to weaken the back shadow and give some detail to the hair.
4. Do something with the arms or back this shot out to full body. IMO if you are committing the breasts to the shot the arms have to be up, or you have to include more torso.
The other two shots in the series are cropped funny. If you like the spotlight effect from the flash you need to make the spot smaller. Make sure your flash zoom head is extended all the way out. Bring the flash closer, or use a snoot.
btw...... when did you start dabbling in off camera flash?

lol - actually, its not a flash at all. its just window light - havent saved up enough pennies for the flash just yet... hence the 'available light' usage.
your vibes on this shot are good - thats what its supposed to feel like.... theres others with neater hair & more torso, none full body shots, as its a camera shy moms body (thats where the scarves came in handy) and none with any flash (you were right in telling me the on-cam flash for the d-80 should be taped shut)
