    Not a critique AT, but it does work for me. Normally this type of effect doesn't appeal as it is often applied gratuitously.

    To me it does suit the subject matter and genuinely looks like an old image. The other thing you may wish to consider to enhance the effect is a tattered edge border

    I like this AT - Looks natural and fits the subject.
    The only place where my eye stops is the left side edge of the boat - maybe 1 inch from the edge. There, the change in tones from midtone to highlight is too abrupt. It could use some feathering imo.

    last thing is the triangle on the right edge - I'd burn it by at least 25% if it were mine.

    I would normally not be interested in this type of processing but here it does match the subject so well that I do like it quite a bit.
