Hmmm... now I'm going to disagree with you TT (and Raiven as well). I think when the eye is this large, this sharp, and this detailed, catchlights are unnecessary, especially ones as big as this. The picture has excellent potential. Looking forward to the re-shoot!

Re-shoot! Got her to sit still for me again today as hard as it is to do so. Slightly more DOF which I think is more pleasing. I kinda like the first one just because I could get it that narrow with my new lens but this is more pleasing I think.

Thanks, and yes, she's sitting in front of a window. Same shooting location as the new one.

Very sharp! And beautiful eyes too. I think though that her left eye is just a tiny bit bright. That could just be me but my monitor is set with the brightness quite low.

Thanks. You may be right, I've never calibrated my monitor so it may be off a bit. Most of my shots are too dark because of it, maybe I over-compensated.

it looks much better. On my monitor her left side looks a bit too bright but the colour on her right is lovely. I am also not sure if the left eye is as sharp as the right? if not you can fix that in post processing.

    over all well done!
