    Default Emphasizing wrinkles

    Greetings,

I was processing this photo and one of the things, I wanted to do was emphasizing the wrinkles but it didn't come out right. I tried to sharpen it which only made it too noisy.

Could your please provide some advice and techniques...

    Thanks so much

You could try some dodge and burn, to bring out the wrinkles, it might be a bit of trial and error to get it to look as you want.

    Thanks Richard,
I tried dodge and burn but the result was too crappy. I am aiming to get such an effect.

    Hi Yisehaq,

You will not be able to easily reproduce this effect for your shot because of the lighting.

When you want to reveal any type of texture you need angled light; sidelighting works best. The lighting in your shot looks too soft and diffused to emphasize the wrinkles.

Try a test an hour before sunset or use off camera flash.

    Hope that helps - Marko

    Thanks Marko,
I knew it was kind of hard to change the photo after trying for some time. I just didn't know why.
I will give it a try..
