wow! great capture! them bees are absurdly fast...
i'd like the shot to be a bit more bright, more colorful maybe on the purple & yellow. and if that one strip of grass was not in the background, it might look more clean. but im a newbie, so this is just as a viewers eye sees it, not really a 'photographer'. a very good insect shot imo!

I agree with Kiley. A great shot. The colour problem she noticed is due to the browser not doing the conversion very well from the Adobe rgb colour format to the s rgb format for display on this site. When I did the conversion in a photo editor instead, the colour was excellent.

I also agree on a little clean up of distracting grass and whatever on the left hand side.

I like this shot as well and for me that blade of grass on the left is the main distraction. Aside from that,

    Best!

strange as it may seem, i kind of like the blade of grass; it creates a great triangle in the center of the shot. i'd be a little more concerned with the amount of digital noise in the background of the shot if it were mine, but still, a great capture.

Thanks everyone. I have built the image again from scratch to try and deal with the noise issue. I too like the grass so I left it alone.
