The whole thing looks a frag under-cooked to me. You've used a flash I think which has given nice catch-lights in the eyes but I think you need to bump up the overall brightness/contrast a little. Levels/curves treatment perhaps.

The crop I'm not sure about. I'm not seeing any real reason to lop off a small part of his head or his hand so I assume that's how it was taken. I think seeing the whole head and hand would have been better. Either that, or crop off a lot more but I think the hand is important to this photo.

Yea I see what your saying. The one thing that I dont really like is how the whites of his eyes have a blue tint to them. How would I fix that?

I like the expression here for sure - very cool.

Technically it's 'off' though. I can see what I think are bright areas in the forehead and under the nose that look like they may have been clipped and you tried to restore them. (can you confirm?) Either way those areas now have 'noise' in them. This looks like direct flash to me from too close - but I'm not sure why the eyes are so dark...hmmm

To remove the blue in the eyes, there's many ways not sure what program you use. But basically select that area and replace colour, desaturate the colour, use levels to dial it down. Anyone else?

No I didn't try to correct it. I think i might have bumped up the detail a little to much. As for editing I used Photoshop CS4

If you don't mind me asking....what did you do for treatment? The photo does look underexposed. That maybe the reason for the blue whites.

Marko suggested several great ways. I'm not to sure how familiar you are with CS4.

I'm trying to think, I don't have my programs in front of me..but lightroom plug in would give you the ability to choose the "flash" option that would bring a new hue to the photo. Not sure if you can do that somewhere in CS4. That might of helped with the whites.

I am only learning to use my flash. One thing I have learned really fast is that they aren't alway appealing on babies. It may be the way I'm using it..but for the most part I usually go natural light when I can.

I use layer masking to correct this sort of thing but you could easily just use the lasso tool to get in there and mask just the blue bits individually and simply desaturate as Marko suggests. You may be able to just use the Magic Wand tool to select those areas in this case also.
