Heres a picture of my 5 month old puppy, Shylyn. I was wondering if I could get some constructive critisism on it. Be easy though, I'm pretty new to photography and I'm still learning...

    Hi Nikki229,

I'd ask again if you could upload images directly as going back and forth between sites isn't that fun.

This is a decent shot of your dog. Things that you should be aware of for future shots are distractions like leashes. The pink leash in particular is a distraction. The bottom of the photo is a bit 'noisy'.

    Hope that helps,

    Marko

hi nikki - welcome & cute dog!
i agree with marko - the background of this shot leaves a lot to be desired. the dirt & grass don't do the dog justice. and the leash is a distraction. the dog also seems soft, not enough definition on the fur & around the edges. maybe its a focus issue, but otherwise im not sure how to correct it (im not all that experienced myself - lol)

Thank-you very much guys. I tried to upload the photos direct but it didn't work, maybe I'm not doing it right...the softness in the picture could be because the picture is cropped. I had the whole dog in the photo but I thought that anything otherwise then her face was irrelevent because she was just sitting there looking at me...lol
