    Default Stri Fry..............Anybody..?

This is a shot of Red, Green and Orange Peppers and Onions chopped and frying.
I've applied a little ORTON effect but nothing else.
I have also framed the image with a black stroke around.

Would be interested to hear you thoughts and comments on this one.

For me this hasn't really worked. I find the orton seems to have robbed the shot of any real sharpness and the orton glow doesn't seem to fit with the food too well.

The colour balance also seems to leaning yellow unless that's a side effect of orton?

The stroke I think looks too narrow to be effective.

I'm really sorry IHP ... this one just isn't for me I'm afraid. Not that food shots have ever really been appealing to me anyhow. Hopefully someone else will find it more to their 'taste'

It's close for me. I love the rich colours but the tones are kinda muted due to the Orton effect which kinda just makes it look out of focus. Bring it back into the editor pre-Orton and add a little sharpening (or unsharp mask) and then boost the saturation just a tad.

A slightly thicker border - at least 30px - would be nicer too.

At least that's what I would do if it were my shot.

The important question is, are you happy with it?

    Speaking as a Chef/Photographer here.....
I would like to see at least one cut of pepper or onion in focus... that way we would have something to focus on and know the whole story.
I think having the one (or two )in sharp in focus veggies here would make the difference b/w a good photo and a great photo...
Then again just my opinion here...as always...others may vary... and ultimately it is your vision and your photo.
