    Default Wheal Betsy

The ruined engine house of an ancient silver and lead mine.
Built in 1867 and restored 100 years later by the National Trust this engine house is the only clue to Mary Tavy's fascinating and exciting past.
The village has been home to the worlds largest copper mine.

This shot is an HDR converted to B&W.
I took three exposures then blended them together to create the HDR. I then converted to B&W.
Other than a bit of light tuning I didnt have to do much else with this image.

I think its great! realy pleased with it..........
But I need a second opinion or two, Go ahead pull it appart!

Well, L'Hos, I'll do what I can. I really haven't done any HDR so I'm not sure I am qualified to critique it from that angle but I can give you my .

First off, it's very soft. I'm wondering if it was larger than 250KB before you uploaded it? The board software will auto-resize anything larger than 250KB and it can some times make it quite soft.

I don't have the words to describe it but it just doesn't feel real. I think you've completely gotten rid of the shadows and so it seems flat and dead.

Personally, I lean toward colour images. I think this would totally work as a colour image as I suspect it would be the hard, cold stone standing out in a lush green field.

And last, I'm not sure what is sticking out of the top of it but it looks very rude
