    These are all point and shoot cameras and are NOT good for learning photography.

    99% of the people on this forum have an SLR or DSLR camera and that's what I recommend.

    Man, why don't you buy from FutureShop Olympus E 410?
    it's D-SLR camera and is good.

    Got the new proc - True Pic III that is soo good, and Zuiko Lens that have amazing quality, and with $500 you can buy a f2.8 lens.
    Anyway, this is a better deal than the others.

    Sorry for the late reply...but I can't recommend what i don't like.
    It's like asking a vegetarian what meat they want for dinner.
    The answer will always be "vegetables please".

    Lovin's suggestion is far superior to those choices or any p&S camera for learning photography.

    perhaps the best p&s camera on the market.
    The canon powershot G10

    Camera junkies alike, have all comented on this camera being nothing but quality. The best in its field IMO

    I have a Sony Alpha and a Nikon D90 and I will be getting a G10 next, probably in a couple weeks. I have an older P&S that has been taken over by my son of 3 years. MY wife and I both love taking pictures and it is a blast for him to have his own. He was busy taking pics of cow poop the other day.

    +1 You can't go wrong buying the G10 for a point and shoot
