    Thumbs up Night vision

My wife has shown an interest in night photography to catch any unusual occurrences but as a begginner to photography she would like to know any tips on which equipment or makes/models of cameras best suited to this type of photography. Preferably digital as a PC would be used mainly to view the pictures.

    Thank you

    Default Low light photography

There is a decent article on this site about low light photography.

I'd say though that the most important tool is a tripod because you need to have the camera ABSOLUTELY still for those long exposures.

If you're thinking about a digital camera, make sure it is one where you can adjust BOTH the aperture and shutter speed.
