This is as shot early in the morning through heavy mist as the sun is breaking through off in the distance. A very long telephoto of about 400mm would have been much better and probably an interesting vertical in the foreground.
Nevertheless, it still has an interesting look, more like a painting.
What do you think?

Your shots always make me suspicious lately tegan since I'm never sure if they are 'real'. I'm not even going to comment on the realness anymore unless I feel it detracts from the image. That said, who even cares right? If it's a strong image then that's what counts.

I like this image a lot - I LOVE the tones and the warmth. I think my only suggestion might be to crop the sky by maybe as much as 50%. I say this because although the current sky gives the image a feeling of 'openness' it takes away from the landscape which is the focal point IMO. For that same reason I might also burn in the water maybe 10% from the center toward the right side.

This shot is real. The area is a river that is so shallow that swamp and reeds and low level vegetation is everywhere. I have even seen "islands" with vegetation on them only about a foot thick floating in the river. This is a cropped section from a 200mm shot. In fall mornings the water is warmer than the air which causes considerable mist. This was about 7 am when the sun was just starting to break through the mist.
