This is my fav photo I have taken so far, It isn't neccissarly the best one or the most amazing, but it captures my dog perfetly. She is such a unique dog that even ppl who don't like dogs fall in love with her. I think I am going to get this printed up in a poster size... I haven't done any post proccessing with it.. I don't really know what to do with it. I don't do much work in black and white.. If you have any suggestions feel free throw your two cents in

This is just a facebook pic, not the original. You loose a lot of quality when you upload to FB

Nice image Peter! really nice BW here (to my eye perhaps increase contrast on the highlights 5% but that's it), gorgeous dog!

Thank you very much.. She sure is precious. She is always the life of the party. I bet you I have a thousand pix of here. She is 3 years old and can do any trick you can think of. (havn't been able to perfect the "getting me a beer trick" yet, but I am working on it)

I have noticed a fair number of kiddie shots in the thread and it reminds me of what can make a certain image special to the photographer... the subject. Although this one probably wouldn't quite make it into my top 5 all time favourite/best images, I like it because it tells a lot about me and my experience as a photographer:
    1. It's not about the gear- this was shot with a point n shoot
    2. It's about the moment- timing is everything, I like her expression.
    3. Our kids are sometimes our best available subjects/models
    4. I always like something in an image that breaks the rules...In this case, with part of her face being outside of the frame, plus the high key (blown out) lighting and colour cast, all work for me (because I'm a nut ).

Always a pivotal moment, Chris. Well done.
