Day 21...9 more days to go...Final countdown. Lillydale Chicken processing plant and the trailer cages they keep the chickens in on the way to meet their maker and become dinner.
I just about hurled trying to get this shot..the smell of dead chicken/meat/carcass was everywhere...can't really describe how bad it was.. but it was about as horrible as you can imagine. I guess you had to be there.
It's a dark and dreary day here in Calgary and today I wanted a shot that would reflect that.

Just terribly uninspired to shoot today...so went across the street and shot the cenotaph in light and shadow.
It is as good as it gets on day 22.

It's been a real chore, eh what? It's a nice image but I can tell your heart wasn't in it. I did another one of my lunch time photo walks today and had a photo buddy to help inspire me. Here's my shot for today...

Thanks! I must say, it's really hard. As much as I love making images I really find there are just some days you don't want to pick up the camera and you feel uninspired. I'm not sure that forcing yourself to pick up the camera on those days is a good thing.

Yeah...the last couple of days have been tough on me as well. Sometimes I just want to take a break from shooting so in that way it has been a bit draining. However, I have learned so much about this lens and the way to use it. It is far from as gimmicky a lens as everybody seems to think it is and I think the photos I've posted over the last 23 days have proven that it really is much more versatile than people think.

Another day of struggling but I managed to pull off something half decent I think!
