Default This is why Photography.ca is the best forum

The other night, I posted a help thread here about the wedding I was shooting. I did the same thing on another forum (ThePhotoForum.com)

The other thread is now 6 pages long, people attacking people, negative comments, no suggestions, etc.

Marko, I hope you don't mind, but here is a link to the thread, it is a great read!!!

nah Sa'll cool and thx for the compliment- wow that's a big forum. (I only visit this photo forum).

I think many of those members would be booted out if they were here. I despise bickering, arrogance and one-upmanship.

This is why I only come here. An interesting read for sure - I am getting quite wound up reading it.

No-one had any confidence until afterward, and then they all knew you would do good (because of your lights and "under the circumstances").

There were a couple of helpful people but they were drowned out by all the chest beating.
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

It's like someone asking for a doughnut and someone says cake is better but gives him nothing.
If someone asks for help, just help.

Wow! The worst offender was the site admin. Some gave totally bad advice. (Hiking your ISO to 3500 and shutterspeed to 1/30 sec sounds risky to me.) Only this one guy gave some sincere decent advice : Wedding Photography Emergency!!! Please Help!!! - Page 2 but then he pirated your thread for several frames. Good lord.
    Lol, Ed good point.

Well, well guess who is already a member of that forum and has never posted.

The guy you mentioned is a great guy, one of the most helpful members on that site. He has helped me many a times.

I have just given my final statement in that thread (if you want to read it) and I mentioned Derrel.

All complements should go to Marko for having created such a forum Every time I check on other fora all I get is a reason to stick to ph.ca.
