Default I need some international help on a project

My youngest daughter is attached to her baby doll (she named Olivia). I want to mail her to several places around the world and have her picture taken at any famous landmarks. I will pay for any shipping cost.

It will be like the famous garden gnome that was stole for a year and the owners would receive pictures of the gnome from all over the world. After a year, he was returned.

I don't plan to do it for a year, just a couple months.

I know we have members in Australia, Africa, and Europe (plus Canada of course). Even members in the US can participate (I'll start with those so the cost will stay low.

I would like for the members that participate to have paypal, so I can easily repay you.

Let me know if you are interested.

I'll play, but you should know that shipping from Canada isn't cheap - I'd expect it to cost 20-25 bucks by Canada post...

I also would be happy to help, but in addition to Marko's comment above (which applies equally, if not more so for Australia), be aware that items do go missing with international mail, and if Olivia is a treasured member of the family you may wish to consider the risks.

The other issue for me is that there isn't really any iconic landmarks near me. I am happy to photograph her in a local scene, but to a layperson it may not be recognizable.

If you do go ahead I would love the see the results.

No worries about losing her, we have two extras still in the boxes for back up. My wife is not big on the idea, so I might find something smaller (and cheaper) to mail.

I like the idea.... sounds like fun. Halifax has some pretty iconic scenes (at least for Halifax )

Except for the shipping, The doll is a good idea imo...I'd love for her to sit down to eat poutine in montreal.

But if the shipping gets too crazy, Some type of (kid friendly) blow up doll might be cool.
If it collapses so that it could be put into a 9x12 envelope at about 1/2 inch thickness max, it will be cheap to ship if it's not too heavy.

Not just international mail do they go missing. Even with local mail with Canada Post

You might want to go with a cardboard cutout instead. It would be much cheaper to mail. My granddaughter's kindergarten class did something like that where they made a cardboard representation of themselves for mailing around the world. Her name is Zoey so it was the flat Zoey that got mailed. Not as cool as a doll but there is a guy, Swartz Abdul on FB who has been doing something similar with a cutout of himself that you can download then add to his photo albums pics of yourself with the the flat Swartz Abdul. Also there is the similar Flat Stanley project which is based on a children's storybook which is probably where the whole "flat" phenomena started.
