Photography swap

This is a discussion on Photography swap within the General photography forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; Ha ha..now not to nit pick but do most people shoot in 8x10 dimensions or the 4x6 dimension?...

    Ha ha..now not to nit pick but do most people shoot in 8x10 dimensions or the 4x6 dimension?

    Most places that do 8x10 will also do 8x12 (the full size). Finding an 8x12 frame however....

    Oh..and and when we choose.
    EXAMPLE

    I get Casil's photo and she gets mine... Or I get Casils and F8 gets mine.

    How'd your husband do it? Let's do it like they did it.
    8X10 is 8X10 so let's crop it if we have to....if it's 8X12 then that's another separate thing...
    It's starting to seem bit more complicated that anticipated.

    Totally over thinking this. They send whatever size panel.

    I say 8x10 (or higher if some so choose). Email it if you agree upon it.

    ********There are ways to make your photo to 8x10 without cropping if you so wish not to...actually a good thread right there*********************************

    haha, I always have to scratch my head.... I prob got this wrong but we shoot 3:2 ratio, meaning 8x12 would be a natural enlargement without crop. It seems that the capture size, print/paper sizes and I'll add prefab frame sizes are diffficult to get to align....

    Yah..I never did understand why camera are in one format and frames another.

    I just put a border around mine to make mine the right size.
