Default The Promise of an Empty Hard Drive

So my old Seagate external drive was filling up fast and I've been on the lookout for another one. Found a Western Dig 2TB without the silly backup software for a sweet price and it just arrived. It looks like a tiny version of the Monolith from 2001: A Space Odessy. 2 terabytes though. Woah. That's unbelievably huge to me now, but it will probably seem as tiny as my 160GB does today. Crazy.

    2 terabytes.

Now I'm imagining all the years of hopefully awesome photos I have yet to take. Where will I go? What will I see? Will I have a different camera? It's all just waiting for me inside that black box.

I use two 1TB drives, one I keep at work and the other one at home. When I back up the one drive I take it to work and exchange it. I try to do this every week so if something happens to my home I don't loose everything.

Sweet drive Wicked, I've just spent the last two nights upgrading to Windows 7 and then restoring all my photos.... it's taken forever.

Yeah, at least a couple of weeks

I'm saving for my next drive. I have a NAS device which I plan to add a couple of 1TB+ drives to. Seems like I've been talking about this forever...

I'm going to have to do that soon, too. I was eyeing a 2Tb external at Future Shop, but I'll bet a small local place will have better deals. Can I ask where you got this one and how much?
