    Default Hi from Stockholm, Sweden!

Hi, I’ve been listening to Marco’s outstanding podcast for a while now, and since he speaks so highly of this forum, I couldn’t keep myself from joining.

I’m a newbie in the world of digital photography and hope to learn a lot from you guys.

I was doing a bit of b+w film photography and darkroom processing, back in the day, but have since had a long gap in my photography experience.

I’m now looking to get started in this wonderful pursuit again, but this time in digital. Though, I must say that I have a hard time deciding on which camp to join, equipment-wise that is. All my current gear is pre-EOS Canon and therefore, as I gather, quite useless if I want to shoot digital? A bit sad really.

Well, anyhow, I’m glad to have found Marco’s inspiring voice as well as this forum to help me along.

    Cheers!

    Fredric

    Hej Fredric

Welcome, I'm very new here myself, but from what I've seen of the pips here so far they are a great bunch

regarding which camera to go for now, I don't know about canon, but I know with Nikon I can use old nikon lenses, because I have a fair few of them, so you "may" be able to re-use the lenses, you might lose things like auto focus etc, but I don't know enough about Canon to answer that.

I used to be a Canon SLR fanboy, I had an EOS and loved it, but when I went digital SLR I prefered the feel of the Nikon D50 in my hand to the canon equivalent at the time, the canon dslr was a bit smaller, and just didn't sit well in my hand, and due to the amount I tend to carry it around it was important to get a feel of it.
