Smile Hi, I'm a new Photographer!

    Good morning everyone,

My name is Chantelle and I am a new Photographer from Australia. I have learnt the majoity of what I know from my Dad, a member on this forum, Mad Aussie. He introduced me to this forum. I brought his 400D canon from him a few months ago.

Here's a link to my portfolio on my parent's website:

Welcome, you have a great teacher, just don't let him know that since it will just go to his head

    Your portfolio shots look great.

Chantelle has been on a steep learning curve since she first touched a DSLR about the first week of Jan this year. With only 2 weeks to go before she was to move out of home to near Sydney, I put her through an intensive learning process every afternoon and on the weekends when we could.
I'd seen the very few P&S shots she had taken before and knew she had an eye for photography. She's been learning at a great rate.

I think being here she will learn more.

Hi there. Welcome aboard! Your dad's pretty sharp, but let him know I said that.

Well ... there's still the daughter you've seen in my portrait shots, most recently the Night Drive thread. But she no interest in photography other than to be in FRONT of the lens!

Uh oh! How are we ever going to know who took the pictures you guys post? You know the saying, you can't teach an old dog new tricks? Well, I think the new dog is going to outshine the old one!

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
