    Post idb intro

Hi, I joined last night when I discovered this site. It's a great resource and like having a camera club in my own home.
I retired at the beginning of February after working for 35 years just to pay the bills. I gave myself a digital SLR and a few lenses as a retirement gift (with a little help from friends and family) so now I can spend more time doing what I really like to do.
I still use my 35 mm gear too and will probably do so until a) it wears out, or b) I can't get film and developing anymore.
    I live in Ottawa, Canada.
I like to take photos of anything but macro photography, portraits and nature/landscapes are most challenging.
Thanks to Marko for running this site.

PS. I could not figure out how to put my location on the Google map last night.

Thanks. I got it now. The one little bit that was not mentioned was logging in to Google Maps and making it my own map.
