    Default Hello... I am Travis...

    Hello,

I am Travis the resident Noob of the forum. I stumbled into photography because my main hobby (musician) has been somewhat curtailed due to the recent birth of my son.

I bought a DSLR to take better pictures of my family, but this changed quickly when I discovered that photography was an excellent way to channel my creative energies. Photography is a lot quieter than guitars and drums so this is a good fit at this point in my life.

I mostly enjoy "the hunt" for a good image. Especially when the hunt produces an image that is unique and hard to replicate. I least enjoy the post-processing part of photography (I'd rather be out hunting for better pictures). So I guess my style leans more toward photojournalism rather then abstract art. I enjoy viewing pictures of all styles.
