OK here is my first attempt. It sure has been an interesting experience. Still it is different from film photograph as you had no idea what you had in the camera until you had it developed. How often did you get a roll back, having forgot exactly what was on it? At least you can review and see what you have. That said, the small screen can lead you to think you have something better than you really do, and it is only when you get it to a PC you can see for sure. These are totally unprocessed(other than a rotation on some) and copied directly from the card to Flickr. I did cheat a little as I used other cameras to capture things I needed in the meantime. Some of these were shot just to make up 10 so I could post. I have these in RAW too and will see what improvements I can achieve on the best shots.
    1. I have to admit there were a few shots before I settled on this as shot 1

    Tulip

    2. This was a risky shot, and really was not what I envisaged. This definitely needs a crop and the focus is off.

    Model Yatch

    3. I like the path in this, and would have worked a few more angles if shooting the way I normally do these days

    Hi Dad

    4. This was an accidental shot, where I meant to pre-focus.

    Miss Fire :(

    5. This is an Australian native flower. It is still coming out. You can see fuller flower in the background.

    Grevillea Flower

    6. These flowers usually make good subjects, but I didn't quite nail it with a single shot.

    Pink Flower

    7. This is my daughter and she was looking quite grown up. I was a bit lazy on this one and shot it from the car, rather than move about to get a better angle.

    Off to Viola Lessons

    8. This looked cool through the window, another risky one because I didn't want to used flash. It came out OK and captured the scene nicely for me.

    9. I knew I needed some more shots, and I wanted to see what I could catch with 1 shot. I took a heap more with my 7D.

    mmm...Carbon

    10. Again, just trying to make up the numbers. How many times did you just snap a couple of shots to finish a roll so you could get it developed? So quite appropriate.

    mmm...Pancakes

I might give this another go yet, sometimes restrictions do help up concentrate on things a bit more. Then again yesterday afternoon I was snapping away at my kids on the beach thinking that if it was still film, there is no way I'd be getting these shots, even if my hit rate of unique keepers was 10%.

Here's my attempt at the assignment. I knew it would be hard and I was right. It 100% did slow me down...maybe too much though - lol.
I think the issue I had was that I had no game plan....I just went out to shoot.
Usually i have some broad idea or a very specific idea to work with.
Anyway here's what I came up with, with zero post processing. I do believe these are the first images in at least a decade that have zero pp. Even when I printed bw, every print had at least 1 area that was selectively dodged or burned to make the image sing.
Nearly every single image benefits from local contrast control - but when you slow down like this - you can see the trouble spots before you click the shutter. This means less PP later on.

Thanks asnow for suggesting this assignment - very valuable.

What size should the images be to attach?

Liking the work so far. This isn't easy. I've done 5 this morning. Out of them 5 I would of used one shot but maybe the next will be better

it's up to you kat as long as you respect the original crop and its propoortions. Mine were 800 pix wide for the horizontals and 500 pixels for the verticals.
