Do we do a Members' choice for image of the year?

Let's take the weight off of Marko's shoulders as he's busy already and put it on the members' shoulders and make it a crowd sourced photo of the year.

Should the winner be chosen from the 12 winners voted on by the members or should we list ALL the nominated photos from the year and then get everyone to vote on those? That might be too many?

I guess we could just do the 12 monthly winners.

I would suggest that if the members are voting on the "image of the year" then all the members monthly nominations should be included. However, if Marko is picking the "image of the year" than it would only make sense to just include the 12 winners of the admins choice.

My vote would be to include all the members nominations to the monthly choices and have the members vote.

My pleasure to set up a poll or help in any additional administrative capacity, but I won't be nominating or choosing the winner for this particular thread.

I think members should choose the winner as per Iggy's suggestion.

Something anyway, huh? I've mentioned in the past that a year's end magazine featuring the monthly winners and runner-ups along with Marko's picks would be great. Like a little Christmas present from photography.ca.

Ooooh, I like this idea even better. Rather than trying to run another competition we could simply collect the results of what's already going on and send it to Blurb or something or create a PDF (digital book). I'd totally be to see something like that.

This idea seems to be dying. My suggestion if it is still on, is to choose from the twelve monthly winners. That would be the easiest.
