April 2009 - Members Choice Nominations

During the month of April, people can copy and paste any photos they see posted within the "Critique", "Show Your Photo" and "Photo Assignments" sub forums, that they believe is sound enough (technically and creatively) to be chosen for the member vote at the end of the month. The winner of the poll gets the monthly Members Choice Award!!!!!

Look forward to seeing the best of the best and pulling hairs out at the end of the month...

So you are in the right place and is the thread where the nominations take place and members should feel free to nominate any image they think worthy from these 3 forums and their sub-forums; "Critique", "Show Your Photo" and "Photo Assignments"

Ok then who is nominating first?

Looks like we are all (except Marko) being a bit slack this month. Either that or we've raised the stds so high it's hard to get nominated now.

    Here's a couple I think deserve being included ...

EJC 'Ice on the Bow River' thread= Ice on the Bow River
I love the motion in this shot. And more than that I love the fact the motion of the smooth water actually looks mostly sharp.

Lovin's Hot Sun, summer in the city thread= Hot Sun, summer in the city...
I can just hear this scene burbling

    Michaelaw's Raindrops thread= raindrops
Great clarity, colour, exposure and composition

    Casil's Medusa thread= Medusa...
The title just ties this image together. Nice closeup with a load of flowing interest.

Jellotranz' You Talking to Me? thread=http://www.photography.ca/Forums/showthread.php?t=3207
A good, clear shot of a different pose by these birds.

Michaelaw's You wouldn't eat me would you? thread= You wouldn't eat ME would you?
Not only seriously sharp and a great pose by the bird but if you've ever tried to shoot an animal or bird that's black and white you'll know how hard it is to get a good exposure in both colours.

I love this shot from MA...not sure if I did this right so that's why I'm hesitant about nominating. Marko, if it's wrong can you please fix? Thanks!
