    Default Changes to Flickr

    Hi:
I am just back from vacation for two weeks and trying to post some pictures. But the world has changed since I've been gone. There appear to be some changes made to Flickr and/or this Forum, that don't allow me to copy and paste a link to my pictures as I have done in the past. Can anyone enlighten me about how to now proceed to share photos from Flickr? Thanks.
By the way, the forum looks nice. I hope it's easier to navigate, but haven't done much of that yet.

Hey, Mike. The forum looks different but seems to behave mostly as usual. I'm still getting used to it myself. Flickr is another issue altogether. Flickr has intentionally broken the ability to display an image without their embedded HTML as they're site clearly states that if you host a photo off their site you must link back to Flickr and the [ IMG ] tag the board software uses does not do this.

One easy way to get around this is to upload the image to the board. That's what I always do. It keeps the images in the board from getting broken if there are changes at Flickr's end - exactly this situation. Cheers!

I have had no problem with flickr. I right click on top of the image and a pop up shows the image sizes. I hit the size I want, then right click and hit "copy image URL" and then paste it. Easy Peasy.

I do the same as Casil but it took a while to figure out. It's a different method but it does show the picture

Thanks for the tips. Yes it seems to work as you described. Ig, I read what you read and thought I'd have to upload directly, which would mean compressing the photo considerably. Again thanks.
