    Default Smarthistory

Smarthistory.org is a video based art history website and I found it to be a good source to get people information on the basics of art history. It does not go into great detail but does give a very informative and easy to follow way to explore art history without having to delve into the minutiae of it.

    "About Smarthistory"

"Smarthistory.org is an open, not-for-profit, art history textbook. We use multimedia to deliver unscripted conversations between art historians about the history of art."

from Smarthistory: a multimedia web-book about art and art history
“I take photographs with love, so I try to make them art objects. But I make them for myself first and foremost - that is important.” Jacques-Henri Lartigue

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke

"Vive L'Acadie, Liberté, égalité, fraternité, ou la mort!"
