    Default Really minor, but...

On my way home from university yesterday, the LRT train I was on unexpectedly lost power (apparently a vehicle crashed into one of the barricades which toppled over a power line). We were stuck inside for an hour before they finally opened the doors and had us just walk down the tracks to the closest intersection.

Anyway, I happened to have the camera with me, and snapped off a few pics! When I told my friend, she urged me to contact the Edmonton Journal and send them the photos and they would probably pay me something for them (she's a freelance journalism student). So, long story short, they ended up posting/printing the pics (which you can view here)!

It's a pretty small thing, but it's the first time I've ever submitted anything, and I thought it was kinda neat. Just wanted to share

Thanks! =D Haha, I'm trying to keep the fact in mind that using it probably had nothing to do with quality, so much as it had to do with the only pics they probably had available to them, lol.

    Nonetheless, it was pretty exciting!

    Thanks again.

Ah, thanks guys! You're right MA, definitely at the right place at the right time (considering I wasn't even supposed to be on that train!). Yeah, JAS, it's pretty cool the "Photograph by:..." and be "Hey! That's MY name!" haha!
