    Default Learning Curve

So I traded my 120-300Sigma lens in. Got a D300s with power grip and assorted accessories plus some cash for it. Camera is really nice, but in all honesty, I miss the days when you set your ASA/DIN, your shutter speed and aperture (according to the built in meter), focused and shot.

Now I have to have an interpreter alongside to show how this thing works. Thank heavens I own a D5000, so much of the stuff I already know ... but Holy $%##@&%, there is a lot you can do with this thing. Dumb thing is: When you need to remember, Alzheimer's sets in . Anyone her wanna become my caddy? I'll tell you what setting I want, what lens to use and you set it,hand it to me and I shoot?

I love that all the dials that you need to use are on the top of the camera and you can adjust shutter speed and f/stop while holding the camera to your eye when you are in manual. Pretty much like using a vintage camera. Most of the things I use frequently, but are submerged in the menus, I put in MY MENU. For instance, I use flash a lot, sometimes on camera, sometimes off, so quick access to the flash controls is nice to have there.

Oh yeah, I hate reading manuals, so I search the internet to learn to do things with the camera.

yes, I do love this thing already. Trouble is: now I have to stock up on "accessories" that fit the camera.
