Flickr or Photobucket?

I have always used photobucket, but I notice everyone here uses Flickr. Is there a difference? I know on photobucket, it automatically reduces the size of the image to help fit on most forums. I could pay and have it keep the size of the photo original.

the choice is like facebook or google plus - choose your poison, they both serve a purpose. I'm on flickr cuz I'm lazy. I don't use either facebook nor google plus, though.

I first joined Flickr because it was were the photographer's were and I wanted to engage. I found photography.ca later and enjoy my time here but Flickr is a different group of people for me (mostly) so I stay there more for the socializing.
